Memorial Day-Taylor Creek Hike

Today was Memorial Day. One of the six that I have with the guys each year. I didn't want to sit at home. We decided to drive up to Kolob Canyon and hike. We drove into the canyon and actually chose the first hike since it was the shortest and easiest of the 5.

None of us brought a jacket not thinking that it was going to be much cooler than St George. It was about 59 degrees. Pretty cool. We all brought water, and everyone of us left it in the car. Pretty lively when we started out.

The name of the trail was Taylor Creek. It said it was easy 5 miles round trip. We had a great time and I even snuck in some photos when Chris really wanted to just hike. The boys kept going ahead and then sitting and waiting for us. Gave them time to enjoy the scenery.

We probably hiked about 2 of the 2 1/2 miles and decided to turn around. We needed water and the guys were starving. We crossed the creek 21 times on our way in. It ends at double arch on the back side of Zion. We all want to go back and do it again. The next rime we will take our water with us, and yes our cameras too.
