Our ward decided to to a shortened version of a trek for youth conference this year. The kids began the trip at the Mountain Meadows Monument.
After the discussion at Mountain Meadows they drove up the canyon to the beginning of the road. It was time to get the handcarts out and get ready to go. 
They loaded up personal items, coolers and dutch ovens into the handcarts. Everything that they would need for the 3 days.
