Garden Heat Wave

Chris had taken the day off today so he could relax after a week and a half of scout camp. He called me at work about 9:30 and asked if I had seen the garden. I said I had watered last night. Between Friday and Tuesday our temp rose about 15-20 degrees. The garden couldn't take that much of a change. I had gotten the frames made, but I had not gotten the shade cloth up yet. We lost quite a bit of it. About half of the beans, cucumbers, cantalope, one of the watermelons and the tomatoes look about half dead. Chris went right out and got the shade cloth and got it put up. Hopefully, it will help save what we have left. I could have cried.
