23rd Anniversary

Today is Chris' and my anniversary. We have been married 23 years. We always say that sounds like a long time, but it has gone so fast. I guess that is a good thing. We celebrated yesterday. We went to an amazing resturant called Anazazi Steakhouse that was recommened to us by a friend.
First of all we started out with a small salad. We then had to have French Onion soup. Both of us love it and get it whenever we can.

We ordered our entrees served on the rock. They have rocks that they heat to 700 degrees. The waiter said it would stay hot for 45 minutes. They bring out your entree on top of them and a side plate. You put your entree on the plate and then cut slices and cook them on your rock to your prefered doneness. Chris had medium sized steak and I had a small steak and shrimp. We were a little uncertain about it, but willing to try. It was amazing! Being able to cook your meat to your prefered doneness and having every bite piping hot was wonderful. The steak also just melted in your mouth.

Chris said he had no idea a steak could go as fast as his went! We ordered fondue for dessert. We had the black forest. They brought out the pot and heat it on your table. It had chocolate, cherries and cream.

Once it was melted they brought out the plate of things to dip in it. To say it was decadant would be an understatement. Good thing I decided to ditch the diet for the night! Chocolate heaven!

Maybe this will become our new anniversary resturant...

Happy Anniversary, again.

"Doneness" isn't a word. I know you have a bigger and better vocabulary than that... have you stopped reading books? :P
