Tonight was really fun. We really surprised mom and that made it all worth it. We all met at the Isle of Capri restuarant. It was a really nice Italian place. Mom's sister, Mary and her husband Jim, came from Chicago to surprise her also. All of mom and dad's descendants were there, but Holly, who couldn't get away from college and work.
The restuarant overlooked the ocean, and so it was a beautiful setting. We had dinner and talked. We had antipasta, salads and then a choice of four dinners. Pasta primavera, fresh catch of the day which was flounder with a lemon butter sauce, Veal Marlsa and a chicken dish. For dessert there was tiramisu or chocolate cheesecake. Good food for a well earned celebration.
