Atlantic Ocean

When we got to mom and dad's this morning they had just finished cleaning up from breakfast. Dad made apple pancakes. Mom said the boys ate really well. They love fruit pancakes, and they don't get them very often. Chris usually makes them anymore. They loved it.

Today the family spent most of the day at mom and dad's. Vicki, Kristen and Ann went over to the airport about 11:00 and picked Andy up. The other grandkids are coming in tomorrow afternoon. Everyone will be here but Vicki's youngest, Holly. She can't get away from college and work.

Mid afternoon Chris and I took our kids to the beach to see the ocean and walk along the boardwalk. Ann came out three 5 years ago and spent a couple of weeks, but for the rest of us it was the first time seeing the Atlantic ocean. Nathan even got brave enough to walk in it for a few minutes. It was too cold, for much more than that.

We walked along the beach looking for shells for a short distance. My sweet husband wrote me a message in the sand.

Chris had seen the huge Neptune sculpture while he was running this morning and wanted us to take our picture in front of it. Way cool!
We drove around for about an hour before we found a place to eat lunch. All the restuarants that were near the boardwalk were either seafood (which the guys wouldn't eat), pizza (which we were having for dinner), or closed because the only open for dinner. We finally stopped at the first sit down restuarant that we could find. We lucked out the food was fantastic and very reasonable. It was called "No Frills Grill". Looked like a 50's dinner. We all had something different, and all of us liked what we got. Chris got meatloaf, Ann a chicken sandwhich, CJ a club, Nathan a huge burrito, and I got a salmon salad. I would recommend the restuarant to anyone in the area.

Tonight with most of us here, we ordered $68 worth of pizza, wings, and breadsticks. All that was left were the boxes. This is definately a pizza family.

Tomorrow morning Vicki, Kristen and I are going yarn shopping and then to the mall. Not sure what we are doing after that. The rest of the grandkids, and great grandkids are coming in the afternoon. We have all ready decided that we are going to get a bunch of family pictures at the party. We have even talked about Photoshopping Holly in. :>
