Chess with Grandpa

Dad Weidman had a chess board and pieces set up. During this whole visit Nathan and CJ have played chess. They both learned in scouts. Dad used to play tournament chess, and so he has played with them and given them a lot of pointers. They have really enjoyed playing with him and each other.

Nathan has the chess board that he made a couple of years ago, but no pieces to go with it. (HUM, Christmas idea). Dad showed him the set that his brother, Clement, had made for him. The pieces are about 5" tall and ceramic. They were beautiful. The boys fell in love with them.
They even talked Chris into playing a few games. He hasn't played in a long time!
