Williamsburg Part 4

After lunch we toured the other side of the street.  We started with the jail, and went to a pharmacy, post office, dress shop, fabric shop and a general store.
By the time we had finished this side of the street and a little more we needed to check in at the hotel.  We relaxed and cooled off a little bit and then went to dinner.  Chris had made us reservations at Shield's Tavern.  It was supposed to be a bit more traditional than the others.

The food was great and abundant.  Chris had pot roast, CJ had bbq chicken and ribs.
Nathan had a hughe pork shank and I had salmon.

During dinner we had two women come in and play several numbers on their fiddles.  Very cool.

After dinner we went walking.  Went through the common area where they had shot off the cannons and muskets.  We missed them since that was when we had our dinner reservation.  We passed the cannons on our walk.
We walked down to the modern day shopping area.  They were having a summer concert.  We listened for a while and then walked back to the hotel.
It had been a long day.  The weather was perfect though.  The temperature was in the 80's and not a whole lot of humidity since they had a storm yesterday.
